The storms that plagued yesterday's games had thankfully moved on for today's play, and the normal Gold Coast sunshine returned. Our 37 teams competed across the Gold Coast, here are some highlights:
Monash University today became the overall 2015 Cheerleading Champions! In its first year as an AUG sport, our cheerleading team was made up of 91 athletes who competed in 6 individual teams. After competing over the last two days, our combined medal tally crowned us overall champions.
In the individual team competitions Monash came first in the 1/2 All Girls Cheer, the 3/4 Coed Cheer, the Hip Hop, and the Pom Duo (Julia Colman & Melis Rutherford).

Our Men's Tennis team also had an extraordinary day. The team ended the day having won every one of their five games. Their convincing win today has secured them the top spot in their pool, and entrance into the Semi Finals tomorrow.

The Women's Softball team won both of their matches today, beating Bond University 7-2 this morning and Melbourne University 18-7 this afternoon. With two pool games remaining tomorrow, they are still a chance for finals on Friday.
