AUG Day 1 Wrap
TeamMONASH began their hunt for the AUG championship today with fantastic results. Our students from over 35 sports competed across the Gold Coast in their varying arenas.
Our T20 Cricket team are currently at the top of their pool after beating Curtin University (CU) today. The boys managed to run CU out for 66 runs after only 15 overs, and then managed to chase that total down in their first 5 overs batting. Their convincing win not only earned them the regulation 3 points, but also two bonus points for running out their opponents before their allotted 20 overs.
After winning Silver overall for the last two years, the Ten Pin Bowling team is determined to fight for gold this year. They got off to a great start this year after besting their two opponents, Adelaide University (AU) and The University of Wollongong (UOW), 3-0 each today.
Our volleyball teams also performed exceptionally today, with the Men's Volleyball, Women's Volleyball, Mixed Beach Volleyball and Men's Beach Volleyball winning every one of their combined 9 games.
