TeamMONASH's preparation in full swing for Australian University Games

With only seven weeks to go until the 2014 Australian University Games (AUG) preparations are in full swing, with the rain and cold weather not deterring over 250 TeamMONASH AUG athletes.

After a hard day of training, the 250 students set to represent Monash University at Sydney's AUG enjoyed a free BBQ and drinks to motivate them to continue working hard.

Director of TeamMONASH, Martin Doulton, spoke at the rally, thanking the students for the dedication and willingness to represent their university and be ambassadors for TeamMONASH.

"Our team spirit is significantly higher than other universities," Mr Doutlon said at the rally. "...we are starting to bond and blend together eight weeks in the lead up to AUG."

Rugby Team Captain, Andrew Sanders is excited by the hard work he sees everyone putting into winning gold in 2014 for TeamMONASH.

"Seeing members of other teams chat to each other makes me feel like we are merging as one," Andrew said.

The Australian University Games will be held Sunday 28 September - Friday 3 October this year.
