Representing your University in competition is one of the most rewarding activities a student gets to experience during their time at the instituion: the Australian University Games (AUG) is possibly the pinnacle of the Varsity experience.

Each year TeamMONASH participates in highly competitive sports against the other 40 tertiary institutions that compete annually in the Australian University Games. We've won the Games Champion title in 1998, 2008 and 2009, and have narrowly come runner up in the 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. We have a long, proud and successful history, which has well prepared us to take on any challenge that the other Universities will throw at us, and that inspires us to aim to regain our rightful place at the top of the Medal Tally.

However, it's not going to be easy to stay at the top. Our age old rivals The University of Sydney, The University of Melbourne and The University of Western Australia will also be stepping up their performance again this year so TeamMONASH will need to be at the peak of our performance from the first whistle.

Being a part of TeamMONASH though gives us the edge over all our competition in terms of our legendary Team Spirit, the unbridled passion that our participants have in the University badge and the undisputed pride that we all feel when we pull on the unique and distinctive Monash Blue.

Our 2014 Team Captains, Andrew Sanders and Lucy Dawson, epitomise the passion, expertise, talent and commitment that the TeamMONASH experience is all about. This is the one chance every year that Monash University students from all faculties, all campuses and all walks of life come together and form up under the University banner. We stand together with great spirit, passion and pride. We should also never forget and respect the fact that we are the chosen few representing Monash's 63,000 students and over 250,000 alumni, as we face off against the other 7,000 students from 42 Universities competing at these games.

We are made up of 650 Student athletes and support crew. We are playing in 31 Sports. Whilst we have strenght in numbers, high quality participants and a great preparation, TeamMONASH will never give up and never give in as we work together as ONE team.
