Monash University's Varsity Team of the Year for 2015

Monash University's 2015 Varsity Team of the Year is the Men's Hockey Team!



The Men’s Hockey Team had a spectacular year in 2015, winning all 3 Varsity tournaments they competed in. 

At the start of the year they defeated Melbourne University in the annual Varsity Challenge. 

In June they went through the Southern University Games undefeated to take the Gold Medal.

As the South Australian University Champions the team entered the Australian University Games with hopes of besting their previous years AUG Silver Medal. In the Gold medal rematch from last year, such was the spirit of this years team that when they found themselves down 2 - 0 with 5 minutes to play, they rallied to tie the game with 90 seconds remaining on the full time clock. They were then able to pull off an amazing 'golden' goal to take the Gold in over time.

As the reigning Australian University Champions, we want to congratulate everyone involved in the  Monash University Men's Hockey Team on their many successes this year.
