TeamMONASH's Cycling Success

TeamMONASH has had an amazing year in Cycling at The Australian University Games (AUG).

Our 2015 team was made up of 10 cyclists who all traveled up to the Gold Coast with their bikes for a week of grueling competition.

The 2015 Monash AUG Cycling Team

Monash won a Silver Medal in the Men's Road Race, after first time AUG competitor Patrick Burt finished second overall in the 80km race. Patrick's result was incredible. For more about Patrick see his interview.

We had similarly amazing results at the Women's Pairs Time Trial, with our two teams coming Second and Third overall. The pair of Rebecca Beagley and Isabelle Claxton won the Silver Medal, and Freya Berenyi and Peta Faragher won the Bronze.

Rebecca Beagley also finished strong in the Women's Road Race, coming 7th, and Freya Beagley finished 8th in the Women's Criterium. The pair of Patrick Burt and Matthew de Vroet came 5th in the Men's Pairs Time Trial as well.
